  I saw Dr Howard approximately four years ago for what I thought maybe thyroid related problems as I was fatigued and having extreme problems with my eyes. After the regular lot of bloodwork I returned for the results. Her comments were, "THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU. YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY, RIGHT, YOU DON'T WANT THERE TO BE SOMETHING WRONG DO YOU?!"
  
  A few years later as my symptoms progressed it was found I had a large tumour growing in my eye socket. She neither took the complaints of my eye issues seriously or recommended a CT scan. It's taken invasive surgery, 35 rounds of proton radiation and 6 rounds of Cisplatin to get to try overcome a rare cancer.
  
  What was more appalling than her ineffectual investigations in to my health, was her attitude and dismissive, rude behaviour. In short, save your money, find a good endocrinologist and persist when you know there is something wrong. The health system is one of the only services where you cannot obtain a refund when they totally cock it up! This should be rectified and the Health Care Commission should be more effective in following up doctors who provide abysmal care and service.
